DAJ Designs Photography, founded in 2003, encompasses the artistic work of both Debbie Jordan Photography and Benjamin DeHaven Photography. A mother and son team of photographers, we often travel together on local photo shoots. Though each of us has a little different take on the same subject matter, we both desire to capture the beauty that we see around us and share it with others. Our work is displayed online, at regional art shows, and at select galleries.

Debbie Jordan
A native of Baltimore, Maryland, I studied Art Education at Towson University. With an extensive background in drawing, painting, and photography, and ten years working as a professional picture framer, I launched DAJ Designs Photography in 2003. My son, Benjamin DeHaven, joined me in the business in 2009. Although I have worked as a wedding photographer, my lifelong passion has always been wildlife and nature photography. There is something about being out with wild creatures or in remote surroundings that brings to life a part of my soul.My desire is to capture the beauty of nature and to give the viewer a glimpse of nature through my eyes.

Benjamin DeHaven
A lifelong Maryland resident, I enjoy travelling to various points around the US. I have been blessed to be able to practice photography full time since 2010. In 2009 I joined DAJ Designs Photography to pursue my passion for nature photography along with my mother, Debbie Jordan. I am always in search of the "Grand Landscape" while keeping my eyes open for more intimate landscape images. I am proud to live in country that sets aside vast acreage for our National Park System and seek to document the beauty that we have preserved for future generations. I also have a passion for birds, I am a birder as well as an avian photographer. I have seen over 300 species of bird in the continental US. I take great pride in showing my avian subjects in their natural habitats and take great care to ethically photograph and document their behaviors.
